Primus Partners participated at the India International Rice Summit (IIRS) 2026, held in Raipur, Chhattisgarh on 9–10 January 2026, as the Knowledge Partner for the focused sub-event “Chintan Shivir – Non-Basmati Rice Exports”, organised by TREACG with the support of APEDA.
As part of IIRS 2026, two high-impact sessions were moderated by Ramakrishnan M, Managing Director, Primus Partners. The first was a dedicated session on Organic Rice Exports, which examined issues of quality, compliance, certification, and competitiveness in global markets. The second was the Chintan Shivir on Non-Basmati Rice Exports, designed as a structured, interactive, and outcome-oriented dialogue bringing together policymakers, bankers, exporters, logistics players, and institutional stakeholders.

Key discussion themes across the sessions included payment and credit risks in African markets, evolving trade finance and risk mitigation mechanisms, logistics competitiveness, GI rice branding, and forward-looking opportunities such as sustainability-led and regenerative rice exports. The deliberations focused on moving India’s non-basmati rice exports from a volume-led approach towards a more resilient, value-driven, and trusted global positioning.

The Chintan Shivir brought together senior leadership from APEDA, rice exporters and trade bodies, financial institutions including Bank of Baroda, logistics and shipping line representatives, and other regulatory and institutional stakeholders, reinforcing Primus Partners’ role in convening meaningful policy–industry dialogue and shaping actionable pathways for India’s agri-export ecosystem.
