16th FICCI Global Skills Summit 2025, held on August 7 at Federation House, New Delhi. Primus Partners participated as a skilling strategy Partners of the Summit.
Charu Malhotra, Co-Founder & Managing Director, Primus Partners, shared her perspective in a high-powered panel on "Infrastructure in Skill Education: The Cornerstone of Ongoing Reforms."
The pannel brought together esteemed representatives from Google for Education, Maruti Suzuki, Scope Global Skills University, and the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, under the moderation of Mr. K. Ramakrishnan, former Chair of FICCI’s Skills Development Council.
Charu highlighted that the ITI Upgradation Scheme will progress the national agenda under Make in India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, and Viksit Bharat 2047 by skilling youth in emerging sectors like AI, EVs, green skills, health care, smart manufacturing among others. She suggested rebranding and positiioning ITIs as first-choice institutes, improving enrolment of girls in ITIs, strengthening digital discoverability of skilled youth to allow recruiters to hire them, and to modernize training infrastructure with revamped curriculum for job roles aligned with higher levels of NSQF skills to meet India’s growth goals.
