The National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW), in collaboration with Primus Partners, hosted a strategy meet titled "Advancing Public Health: Priorities, Innovations, and Global Partnership" at the Imperial Hotel, New Delhi. The event was graced by the presence of Honourable Union Minister of State, Ms. Anupriya Patel and also saw participation from top public health organisations including MoHFW, Niti Aayog, NCDC, IIT Delhi, AIIMS Bibinagar, IIPS Mumbai, AIIHPH Kolkata, Gates Foundation, Johns Hopkins University, Ashoka University and many more. The meet aimed to outline strategies to establishing NIHFW and other public health training institutions as institutes of global repute, striving for excellence in Public Health and Family Welfare, contributing to a healthier and stronger India. Key sessions included discussions on national public health priorities, emerging health needs, and innovative solutions. The inaugural session included keynote address by the Honourable MoS, MoHFW, Ms. Anupriya Patel and the inaugural address by Mr. Vijay Nehra, Joint Secretary of MoHFW. The panel discussion focused on current public health priorities, needs, and challenges, and identified new capacity-building initiatives. Group discussions emphasized international, national and regional collaborations, joint research, and knowledge sharing, setting clear priorities for NIHFW’s initiatives. The meet is expected to enhance the collaborative efforts of various public health agencies, organizations and training institutions to improve the health outcomes along with practical recommendations to strengthen NIHFW’s programs and broaden its impact.
