Clean mobility crossroads: Why states side with EVs over hybrids

Nikhil Dhaka, Vice President, Primus Partners, highlights that India's policy focus on incentivizing only battery electric vehicles (BEVs), while largely ignoring hybrids, may be a missed opportunity. With limited EV infrastructure, supporting hybrids could offer immediate benefits in reducing fuel use and emissions. Only a few states, like Delhi and Uttarakhand, currently offer hybrid incentives.
