Govt notifies bankruptcy code changes to make aircraft recovery easier

As per the Primus Partners report titled "Aircraft Leasing Industry: Has India nailed the landing?", around 80% of India's total commercial fleet is leased. The ministry of corporate affairs (MCA) has recently notified changes to the Insolvency and bankruptcy code (IBC) to exclude aircraft, aircraft engines, airframes, and helicopters of lessors from the scope of moratorium provisions, with the goal of simplifying the process of aircraft recovery.
