How this Pune-based startup is using drones to make confined-space industrial inspections safer
10-03-2026
Devroop Dhar, Co-Founder and India CEO, Primus Partners, highlighted that India’s growing infrastructure such as power plants, railways, bridges, and telecom towers still relies heavily on manual inspections, which are time consuming and risky. With the rapid expansion of assets, manual methods are becoming impractical, creating strong demand for AI driven inspections that enable continuous monitoring and predictive maintenance. However, he adds that the main challenge for startups is not technology but enterprise adoption, as industrial firms are risk averse and require proven reliability, leading to long sales cycles and strict regulatory validation.
