Human Rights challenges from Climate Change: Will the Courts rescue us?

Davinder Sandhu, Co-Founder & Chairperson, Primus Partners, hares his opinion on the evolving intersection of climate change and human rights as we approach another World Human Rights Day. He emphasizes that climate change is one of the most pressing human rights issues of our time. The recent landmark judgment in M.K. Ranjitsinh & Ors. v. Union of India & Ors. by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India has recognized the right to an environment free of the adverse effects of climate change as a fundamental human right under Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India.
