According to IEA’s Executive Director, Dr Fatih Birol, “All roads to successful global clean energy transitions go via India.” It has been pointed out multiple times that India’s status as a major global economy and as the third largest emitter in the world essentially makes the cleaning up of our energy supply indispensable, primarily to meet global climate targets.
