12-01-2026
Anurag Singh, Advisor, Primus Partners, shared his view that the absence of popular hybrid vehicles under 4,000 mm means none currently qualify for the lower 18 per cent GST slab, causing hybrids to miss out on a segment that has otherwise seen strong growth. He added that consumer concern around fuel prices remains low due to relative price stability, which weakens the economic case for paying a premium for hybrid technology in the present market environment.
