Auto majors allay fear over slowing adoption of EVs
08-01-2026
Anurag Singh, Advisor, Primus Partners shared his view that concerns around a slowdown in electric vehicle (EV) adoption are largely short term, influenced by pricing sensitivities and recent policy changes. He noted that while near-term demand may see moderation, the long-term outlook for EVs remains strong, supported by improving affordability, expanding charging infrastructure, and rising consumer awareness. Singh added that sustained policy clarity and ecosystem readiness will be key to restoring momentum and accelerating EV adoption across segments in India.
