Building a Quantum Safe India: An Idea where action is needed Now

Devroop Dhar, Co-Founder and Managing Director, Primus Partners, shared his opinion that quantum computing will soon pose a serious threat to existing encryption systems, with Y2Q potentially within the next five years. He said that while India has taken an important step through the National Quantum Mission, the focus must now shift to time-bound adoption of Post-Quantum Cryptography across all critical systems. According to him, securing sectors such as defence, banking, energy, healthcare, and communications is essential to safeguarding national security and technological sovereignty in the quantum era.
