Ayush Vision 2030 presents a roadmap to transform India’s Ayush sector into a globally competitive healthcare, wellness and economic ecosystem. The vision aims to build a USD 213 billion Ayush economy by 2030 while making Ayush a stronger choice for preventive, holistic and lifestyle-focused healthcare. The report identifies seven connected pillars: Ayush manufacturing, exports, integration with mainstream healthcare, wellness tourism and medical value travel, research and digitalisation, international Ayush services, and the Yoga economy. It highlights that India already has a strong base of traditional knowledge, practitioners, manufacturing units, medicinal plants and healthcare infrastructure, but greater value can be created through quality improvement, scientific evidence, technology, investment and global market access.
The roadmap therefore focuses on moving from a largely domestic and fragmented ecosystem towards an integrated, quality-assured and globally recognised Ayush sector. Key priorities include scaling manufacturing from about USD 24 billion to USD 55 billion, increasing high-value exports, strengthening Ayush integration in healthcare and insurance, developing wellness and medical tourism destinations, expanding research and digital health infrastructure, and building international Ayush services and Yoga-led wellness opportunities. The report also proposes a phased 2026–2030 implementation roadmap, with measurable milestones and a central monitoring mechanism to track outcomes across all seven pillars
